Fifty North Family Festival: We will have a table at Fifty North’s Family Festival on June 20th. Lin Wolf is asking individuals to participate individually as we have limited space. Contact Lin for more information.

Mission U – Emmanuel With Us: This special study is a way of practicing the Biblical story in a new way shaped with Emmanuel with us (God with us). “This is a guided journey in Scripture and reflection with an invitation to discover more on your own.” (Response May/June) There are eight (8 lessons) in four sessions focusing on Emmanuel (God) with us. One example is the story of two midwives, Shiphrah and Puah, who saved the Hebrew male babies in Egypt. God was with them in their resisting to participate in doing harm. 

“Holy Resistance often looks like this: 

• “Refusing to harm someone even when pressured. 
• Telling the truth when silence would be easier.
• Protecting the vulnerable in ordinary, practical ways. 
• Disrupting unjust systems by not cooperating with them.” (Response)

“Emmanuel is experienced when courage and compassion meet.” Where have you experienced Emmanuel/God in your life?

Christians are concerned Citizens: So many things are going on in the Senate and the House right now. Your voice is important. What to say when you call or send a written response:
Hi my name is….and I live in your district. 
Mention the concerned groups you are a part of if important (did you vote for them, a bit of who you are) 
Tell them what you care about: mention a bill if you know it is being discussed 
Ask them to work across the aisle so that these important solutions can move forward.
