Bob Henstein has been involved in church music for numerous years. He has served Lutheran, Methodist, Catholic, Baptist, Presbyterian and Congregational churches. Bob received his undergraduate organ performance degree from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN. Bob went on to study with John Ferguson and Larry Smith at Kent State University at the masters' level. He had organ studies with prominent musicians as Paul Manz, Ruth Berge, Arthur Poister, Roberta Gary, and Robert Quade. Currently Bob is a retired 3Mer and enjoys a majority of his time back in church music playing at three Presbyterian churches in Naples, Fl. Bob has conducted hymn festivals in Minnesota, South Dakota and New York State and has performed concerts in Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Great Britain. Bob has taught at St. Olaf College-Northfield Summer Organ Seminars. He has composed music for several mediums including organ, choral, strings, brass, hand bells and vocal solos. Bob enjoys the opportunity to be a part of the wonderful music making at Northfield Methodist Church along with the great congregation.
