ISAIAH : Faith in Democracy

delivering groceries to elderly neighbor

This is a message from the co-directors of Isaiah (edited for length)

"As the Trump administration announces an end to Operation Metro Surge, one thing is clear- we will never be the same. This moment revealed who we are. We are fierce protectors of our neighbors. Every child is our child. We will drop everything to deliver food and supplies, give rides to school and places of employment. document what was really happening in the streets. These were not abstract or easy choices. Time and time again we chose each other."

As we know, this was not just limited to the metro, but included and continues to include Northfield. Our community rallied to support our neighbors in all the ways mentioned, and more!

t will take a long time to recover - economically and to a feeling of safety for our children and families. Isaiah is committed to recovery and accountability, and will be working the upcoming legislative session to ensure those individuals and businesses that were harmed can be made whole.

In other news, Faith in MN and Isaiah, sister organizations, introduced the People's Agenda at the recent caucus meetings. Delegates will be bringing this forward to the county and state level meetings.

-So take care of yourself. Love your people. And then show up.

Another world is possible. We are already building it.
