ISAIAH : Faith in Democracy

" But those who hope in the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles." Isaiah 40:31

Hole is not a feeling we wait for, hope is our practice. In this time of unprecedented actions that harm the poor, the elderly, and the stranger, Isaiah has been active. 

Locally, with the League of Women Voters Isaiah co-sponsored a public forum on the impact of cuts to Medicaid. The hospital, long-term care facilities, Laura Baker and county services told of the challenges these cuts will have. 

Isaiah supported the ecumenical candlelight prayer vigil that was held after the violent arrest by ICE of one of our community members. It was a holy time. 

The southern MN rural initiative of Isaiah is joining the state-wide LIGHT in the STORM training event Dec.13th. Please join us as we strategize an agenda that will protect our neighbors and families and ensure that Minnesota continues to be a state where families across race, place and religions can thrive.
