Ski Day

The Northfield Area Churches are planning our annual Ski/Snowboard trip to Welch Village on Saturday, January 17th. This trip is for all middle school and senior high youth (and parents and friends!). As in the past, we'll be joined by youth from other Northfield area churches. We will meet at Bethel Lutheran Church at 2:30pm, and depart from there as soon as everyone is checked in and the buses are loaded. We will be on the slopes well into the evening and return to Bethel by 11:00pm.

Schedule:

Christmas Pageant

Join us for an evening of witnessing the beautiful story of Jesus’ birth told through the hearts of our children. It’s a great night of fellowship.

  • 5:30 – Shared Meal for All – bring your entire family
  • 6:30 - Christmas Pageant Performance

Christmas Caroling

Join us for a fun time of caroling around our neighborhood. Meet at the church at 4:00pm and please bring a dozen cookies to give as gifts to the households we carol. We’ll carol for about an hour. Bring your friends!

Hanging of the Greens

Come and be a part of what has become a beautiful tradition for our church family. It is a wonderful way to begin the Advent season and a great way to create conversations within your family about this very moving and blessed time of year.

Annual Harvest Dinner

Menu: Smoked ham, mashed potatoes, vegetable medley, pear salad, buns, assorted pies.  In this season of thanksgiving, let us “gather together” as a church family, giving thanks and sharing in the abundance of God’s blessings.

Rock Climbing

On Sunday, Sept 21st at 1pm the Senior High Fellowship group will meet at the church to carpool to Vertical Endeavors in St. Paul for some indoor rock-climbing. There will be no cost for this event, and friends are welcome. We will return to the church parking lot around 6pm.

You will need to have an updated Health Form for the church, and a parent-signed waiver for climbing.

Camp Kowakan

Our Service Ministries Team is exploring the possibility of having a group from our chuch spend a long weekend at Camp Kowakan near Ely. Camp Kowakan is one of our United Methodist Camps, and it is the launching point for groups going into the boundary waters. This service trip would be for all ages, and it would involve helping to get the camp ready for the summer season as well as taking some time to enjoy hiking, canoeing, campfires, and the beauty of God's creation.
