As we enter into October my favorite time of year has arrived.
Community. That’s what I think of when this time of year comes around.
Do you ever look out your window on a warm summer evening and see tiny flashes of light start to flicker in your yard?
I have a new family member. Her name is Sammy and she is a 3-legged cat.
Have you ever seen our resident fox on the NUMC grounds? She has lived here for a few years and really makes herself at home.
I was at a Blessing of the Animals at my previous church where there was a young boy who cried all through the blessing.
I once had a pet rabbit who lived in the house same as my two dogs and cat.
Most of you are probably familiar with the beautiful “Hidden Falls” at Nerstrand Big Woods State Park.
Some of you may have noticed the lone Guinea Fowl who randomly showed up one day on the church property.
Time for another episode of “all creatures great and small” or otherwise known as “the animals of NUMC”.
Monarchs (and butterflies in general) really are remarkable. There is just something magical about a butterfly.
Arturo, who has been cleaning and assisting with facilities needs at NUMC full time since 2018, grew up in Mexico.
"Did you know there is a bat hanging in your hallway above the entrance to the church?”
Just when you think you’ve run out of the creatures of NUMC to write about, a subject presents itself. Bees!!
Have you ever wondered about the animals in the nativity scene? Well I have (of course).
