Jane Eesley, a UMC minister since 1996, has served congregations in the Northern Illinois Conference. From 1990-93 she served as a UMC Global Mission Fellow, spending 16 months in East Jerusalem. “I loved serving the Palestinian community and my heart broke when I witnessed the injustices they faced daily under military occupation”. Jane was called to serve in the Methodist Liaison office in Jerusalem on August 1, 2023.

The purpose of the Methodist Liaison Office in Jerusalem is to increase international awareness and involvement of the Methodist community in the issues affecting Israel and Palestine.
