Churches for Middle East Peace and 19 US Christian faith leaders, send letter to Harris and Trump campaigns
(One of the signatories is United Methodist Council of Bishops, Ecumenical Officer, Bishop Hope Morgan Ward.)
The letter expresses a shared deep concern regarding the ongoing injustice and violations of human rights in Israel/Palestine. One of the 5 recommendations was the protection of Palestinian Christian communities: In Gaza, many of the approximately 600 remaining Christians are sheltering in one of two churches in Gaza City with limited access to food, water, and medical supplies. We have grave concerns that the Christian community in Gaza faces the very real threat of complete annihilation and extinction.

Prayer:
God, raise up prophets and people of goodwill among the world’s leaders, in our churches, and in Israel – those who will see and then do what is right and just for the Palestinian people who have resisted oppression for many decades. Bring the land back to its holiness, make it a land of justice and peace for all its inhabitants.
Thank You!
Thank you to the Brick Oven Bakery for giving us 10% of all sales on Saturday, Sept 28, which amounted to $334.00. $115 was received in donations. This will cover 1⁄2 the cost of our Bethlehem family sponsorship. Thank you to all who supported this project. It was a very busy day at the Brick Oven Bakery.
Candle Lighting
On Sunday, October 6th and Sunday, October 13th, the MICAH Team hosted an opportunity for the congregation to light a candle and say a prayer in remembrance and lament for the suffering of the past year in the Holy Land.
