Using the gospel narratives and Brian McClaren’s reflections in his book, We Make the Road by Walking, we will enter imaginatively into the unfolding events of this last week of Jesus’ life and reflect upon their significance for our understanding of Christian discipleship. |

In this second session we will continue to look back to some of the beliefs and practices of the early Celtic Christians and forward to our own time and what we might learn from the wisdom of the Celtic Christian tradition. We will look at their sacramental view of the world, their appreciation of beauty both in the natural world and in the arts, their love of story, their acceptance of mystery in life, and their understanding of faith as a journey. |

They will share with us stories and pictures of the work they did, the people they met, and they experiences they had during their time there. |

Between busy schedules and long days, expressing love can fall by the wayside. We forget to say and do, then it gets harder to remember how, then relationships can be strained. In this forum, we will discuss Gary Chapman’s The Five Love Languages to help us understand how different people express and need love in different ways which is a key to strengthening relationships. While the focus is on couples, the concepts can apply to any relationship including your children, friends, other family members, anyone you interact with on a frequent basis. |

In this four-part series we will explore ways to better under-stand the dynamics of marriage and family relations as well as to put into practice ways of fostering these relationships. In the first two parts we will view and discuss a video presenta-tion by John Gottman, who has done extensive research into marriage dynamics and been recognized as one of the ten most influential therapists in the last quarter century. Specifically, we will look at his four negative behaviors that are most predictive of marital conflict and divorce, and his seven principles for nurturing and strengthening marriages. |
