In our fall sermon series we are exploring passages from the Acts of the Apostles to learn about the earliest experiences of those who were part of the newly emerging church. Throughout this month we encourage you to reflect upon your own experience of being the church. Reflect upon your own experiences at Northfield UMC . . . in worship, study, fellowship, and service, on committees and ministry teams, when you are gathered with the congregation and when you are by yourself.
What does being the church mean to you? What is it about being part of the church that is most important to you? When is the church being church for you? for others? for the world? In what ways is your experience of the church dependent upon the congregation? And in what ways is it dependent upon you and your own practice of the faith?
