Worship

Northfield United Methodist Church is an active, diverse, and intergenerational congregation.  We have nearly 300 in worship each Sunday in two worship services during the school year.  We follow the seasons of the church year and each season usually has a theme which guides our worship and preaching.  Though the theme of worship is the same in both services, the music differs.

The early service is held at 8:45 and music is led by our band which plays a wide range of musical styles.

Our second service is held at 10:45 with music accompanied and supported by organ, piano and choir. This second service leans toward a more traditional style of church hymns, old and new.

During the summer months our congregation comes together in one service.

In addition to our church choir, we also have an adult hand bell choir, a junior hand bell choir, a men's quintet, and children's singers.  Other musicians, both vocal and instrumental, are called upon from time to time to share their musical gifts.
